About Roof Prism Binoculars:
The prism system of a binocular reduces the size needed to contain a long optical path and turns what would be an upside-down image right-side-up. In roof prism binoculars, the prisms overlap closely, allowing the objective lenses to line up directly with the eyepiece. The result is a slim, streamlined shape in which the lenses and prisms are in a straight line. Roof prism binoculars are less bulky and more rugged than an equivalent porro model.

49 of 49 people found the following review helpful Not bad...not bad at all, By nvrl8 (Central Illinois United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Bushnell Powerview 10x32 Compact Folding Binocular (Electronics) I got these as a alternative to my Nikon 12x50. I wanted a more compact set to take to Arena sports and something that was just easier to carry. While no match to the Nikons these are still an excellent pair that I use on a daily bases. One thing I would change is the neck strap, its just a string that digs into the back of your neck although I think all compact binoculars have this string. Overall I would buy it again! 4 stars for the strap otherwise I"d give it 5 43 of 43 people found the following review helpful Bushnell Compact Binoculars, By Ron (Ludlow, VT) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bushnell Powerview 10x32 Compact Folding Binocular (Electronics) Purchased the Bushnell 10x32 compact binocs for use on an Alaskan cruise in August. This item worked very well for glacier as well as wildlife viewing. They are lightweight and easy to carry. For the price this binocular was great for our purpose. 43 of 44 people found the following review helpful Great Little Binoculars, This review is from: Bushnell Powerview 10x32 Compact Folding Binocular (Electronics) I recently purchased 4 different pairs of binoculars to try out for a camp nature center. (It was easier than trying to get to our "local" Gander Mountain - 90 miles away). All were about $30, and these are definitely my favorite. These were the only compact pair that I tried, which was the winning feature. They're small enough not to take up a lot of space in a backpack, and to my eye the optics are great and the focus is easy. I'm going to get a bunch more! |
